Visit by Fr Michael Dyer

One of the important features of our Strategic Plan is to provide opportunities for the whole of the St Mary's College family to develop their personal spirituality. To enable this goal to become a reality, the College have organised for Fr Michael Dyer, a retreat facilitator from the Diocese of Wollongong, to visit our College community and run various retreat experiences during the first week of Term 2, 2017. Fr Michael Dyer is very cognisant of the Edmund Rice tradition having taught in various Edmund Rice schools and will therefore be able to lead the College community in this area. Fr Michael has given many retreats to different groups including the Principals of the Diocese of Toowoomba. Fr Michael is engaging, down to earth, really worth listening to and being guided by. Fr Michael will be facilitating reflection/retreats with the Executive Leadership Team, members of staff, Religious Education teachers, Year 12 student leaders and parents/carers. On Wednesday, 19th April, all parents/carers and their sons are welcome to Mass in the College Chapel at 8am followed by a reflection retreat time with Fr Michael and parents/carers from 8.30am – 10am. Morning tea will be provided. This is truly a wonderful opportunity and I welcome all parents, regardless of belief, religion and practice to attend.
