ICT Explorers

On Saturday 27th August, four Year 12 students competed at the Young ICT Explorers in Brisbane. Their project was selected to be part of this event where they had to present their idea to 7 different judges, in a similar style to the popular TV show "Shark Tank”.

Their project was an App called 'DiaMenu' designed to assist fast food consumers with dietary requirements to purchase food, by providing nutritional information, ingredients and any possible allergens within the app. The application contains menu items from most local fast food outlets such as McDonalds, KFC, Subway and Hungry Jacks.

The boys presented an excellent pitch and received praise for their idea from the judges. They were encouraged to continue developing the App and will try to work with the fast food restaurants to get their app on the App Store. Congratulations to Daniel Foelz (Team Leader), Mitchell Lawson, Jarrad Hoffman and Larry Alonso Silva for their achievement and hard work. Well done!
