College position regarding Drugs & Alcohol

The College runs a five year program on Drug and Alcohol Education at the College. This includes annual presentations by Sydney media personality Mr Paul Dillon (Drug and Alcohol Research and Training Australia) with all boys annually in Years 10, 11 & 12, small group work with senior students at the College on the topic of positive choices which highlights drugs and alcohol awareness and respect, honesty and loyalty with Mr Andrew Knight (Youth Worker – Positive Choice program) and an academic study in Physical Education Studies on Alcohol and Drug Education in Years 8, 9, 10.

St Mary’s College has a zero tolerance to drugs and any  incidents involving students and drugs are reported to the police.
