St Mary’s College hosts new ATAR seminar

On the last day of Term 2, Friday 23rd June, St Mary’s College will host an Inservice Day for all secondary teachers in the Diocese of Toowoomba unwrapping the new ATAR Curriculum and Assessment to be introduced throughout Queensland. On this day, St Mary’s College will host lectures and discussion around these proposed academic changes to be introduced into Year 11 from 2019, with the first Year 12 students to be assessed in 2020. This is a very exciting time for all secondary students in Year 9 and under and one St Mary’s College is significantly preparing for. In the meantime St Mary’s College remains committed to achieving optimum results in the present Overall Position (OP) system for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. The present non-university pathway for boys of School-Based Apprenticeships, Vocational Education, Work Experience opportunities and obtaining Certificates and a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) will remain into the future.
